Respected honored Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was the man behind the Constitution of India. He is also known as the Father of the Indian Constitution. He is also known as Babasaheb. Jayanti means the birth or anniversary celebration. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar was born on the 14th of April 1891. Therefore, Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated in his remembrance every year.
Dr. Ambedkar was a son of an Army Officer. He belonged to Maharashtra. He had many siblings. He pursued his higher studies very well. He went to the University of Bombay. He was set in an arranged marriage at a very early age, under 18. After completing studies at the University of Bombay, he went to the prestigious Columbia University in the US. He achieved a scholarship. He did his MA and Ph.D. in Economics. Then he moved to London.
The Constitution of India came into effect on the 26th of January 1950. It marks the Republic Day of India. Republic Day is celebrated across India. It is a gazetted holiday. Many schools, other educational institutes, offices etc observe a ceremony. Typically a parade, speech and other activities are held. The speech is normally by a prominent person or head of the institute like Principal. India’s Republic Day in New Delhi is the most prominent. It is forecasted on leading channels-media. Foreign guests are invited. Cultural, military, defense display, social, cultural dances etc convoys enlighten the event.
There are many accolades, lifetime milestones, achievements, accomplishments etc to Dr. Ambedkar’s credit. He pioneered many subjects like economics, political science, sociology, philosophy, anthropology, history. His praise, value, fight, noble causes especially in shaping India’s core structure etc are mentioned in every educational literature in India. These are the subject of prestigious examinations.
